Studio Martin Lussier offers boutique photography, video, and design services.
My brand promise is this: I will do whatever it takes to meet and exceed your expectations to deliver an exceptional client experience. I will leverage the full weight of my professional experience to deliver timeless images, artfully rendered moving images, and effective visual communications according to your unique specifications.
Just over 12 years ago, I started a small graphic design and web publishing practise. In the 12 years since, I studied 6 years at university, and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies and Fine Arts. In 2008, I started shooting photos professionally. After graduation in 2010, I began what has turned into a rewarding career in nonprofit marketing and communications. And lately, with the advent of D-SLRs with video capacity, I have broadened my skill set to include significant capacity in event videography and small-scale sound production.
For all this change, much has remained constant. Clients, like you, continue to demand excellent service and seek innovative ways to showcase their brand. Print materials remain important for effective interpersonal and corporate communication. Exceptional photographs and elegant design are still realized through meticulous technique and hours of practice.
I chose this field because it affords me the privilege of working directly with people, families, and organizations to bring their stories to life. Above all, I consider my professional practise as a lifelong journey where learning and self-improvement are paramount and integral in my mission to always provide a valuable service to all those who I work with.
I have had the honour of working a wide variety of clients, whether they are individuals, families, or organizations in the nonprofit, arts, education, sport, and government sectors. I have found that my clients demand a personal touch and one-on-one interaction with the principal creative director that other larger firms usually cannot provide.
Recent clients include CPA Manitoba, 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Bravura Theatre & Snakeskin Jacket, MayWorks Festival of Labour & the Arts, Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Momentum Healthware, Asper School of Business, Catholic Foundation of Manitoba, St. Paul’s High School, and many more individual and professional clients.
SML Gives Back
I consider it an important part of my professional practice to donate a portion of my time to important causes in my community. I have been actively involved with the Catholic Foundation of Manitoba for several years as a graphic designer and event photographer. I volunteer to support community organizations, have a particular interest in supporting youth-serving organizations and arts organizations, and have been a longtime volunteer at the Winnipeg Folk Festival.
I always review requests for pro bono work from registered charities and nonprofits. To submit your proposal or schedule a consultation, please visit the Contact SML page and select the appropriate options.
